The Last Energy Monopoly is book four of the Colony Zero Saga. Originally micro harvesting systems were solutions to hardships experienced in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. When the grid went down, the individual energy solutions led to a more widespread belief in decentralization of all critical to life industries, even beyond Western North Carolina. Around the year 2026 Investor Overhead had created a new phenomenon where the cost of purchasing energy from The Duke of Power became greater than harvesting power through smaller home based micro harvesting systems. These home based systems were widely available for retail purchase throughout the world as people began turning inflated payments to The Duke of Power into personal profit from their own micro harvesting system.
